Hi everyone, Hi Geoff,
I've just come across a really interesting album on the CBS label (Ireland) called
"We remember Brendan Behan - Our own dear laughing boy".
It is notable because it has Liam Rowsome on fiddle and Sean Og McKenna, Terry Doyle & Noel Carroll in the band.
Thanks on the album go to Beatrice Behan (Brendan's Widow), Kathleen Behan (Brendan's mother), Philip Chevron (of the Pogues), & Rory Furlong (Brendan's step-brother).
Catalogue number CBS 82258 (approximate date 1978?)
Any recording with Liam Rowsome (Leon's brother and Leo's son?) is interesting because I don't think he appears on record very often. At any rate any record of the Rowsome family is worthy of note and it is surprising that on the whole of the internet there is no information to be found.
Anyone know anything else about this record? It's great music....
